Looking ahead at GREAT THINGS FOR GRACE!

SONSHINERS/MCF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! Plans are underway to restart our Sunday afternoon Sonshiners/MCF Program. We want to improve attendance and make our program exciting and pleasing to God. We hope to have all Grace children/grandchildren and their friends from ages four through fifth grade to participate in our Sonshiners/MCF program. We need volunteers to teach a Bible lesson and/or a musical activity, and to provide a snack supper. We also need volunteers for 30 minutes of planned recreation. This could be teaching cheerleading, dance, or gymnastics, volleyball, tennis, softball, soccer, football, basketball, kickball, games etc. We have many talented youth and young adults who hopefully would be willing to volunteer one Sunday afternoon each month for 30 minutes to teach a planned recreation. Please remember that all adult volunteers will need to complete Safe Sanctuary background checks for the safety and protection of our children. With enough volunteers, one would only have to help once a month. Our children would benefit so much from the interaction with excellent and dedicated role models as well as learning new skills. So, calling all teachers of Bible stories, meal providers, musicians (to teach singing, handbells, interpretative dance etc.), and recreation leaders! Please call Karen Hibbard (864-426-1655) or the church office (864-427-1266). Your consideration will be greatly appreciated. Our children are worth your time and your teaching.

We hope to resume Family Night Suppers and Young at Heart Luncheons in January 2022.

Bible Study - Jan Thompson is planning an in-person six-week Bible Study entitled Irresistible by Andy Stanley. The dates will be Wednesday afternoons at 2:30 pm on January 12, 19, 26, and February 2, 9, and 16. Please call the church office to sign up and to order the study guide or the book.

Confirmation Class – Plans are being made for a Class for sixth through eleventh graders. Pastor Lee will teach this six-week class on Sundays, February 6, 13, 20, 27, March 6 and 13, 2022, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Confirmation Sunday will be Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. Our last confirmation class was in 2017. Please contact Karen Hibbard or the church office to sign-up your youth.

Blessing Boxes – We now have two Blessing Boxes! They are both being frequently visited so please bring your donations to place in the Blessing Box donation containers at church entrances or to the church office. We need to keep it supplied especially as the weather gets colder.

Nursing Homes Project –Our first donations of Bingo Prizes went to Heartland and Ellen Sagar Nursing Homes. The (employees and the residents were thrilled! Please continue to support this ministry!
